Injection of fillers
> Injection of fillers
In addition to these surgeries, it is possible, with cosmetic medicine, to correct the little imperfections of the face. For this, Dr Alfandari uses either injections of fillers (hyaluronic acid most often) or muscle relaxants (botulinum toxin more commonly called Botox™). The technique for using these fillers is to inject a “volumising” product under the skin to fill in wrinkles and skin depressions caused by to age. The safety of this technique depends on the type of product used and, of course, the competence and experience of your cosmetic practitioner.
There are 2 types of products:
The biodegradable
These products have a shelf life between 6 months and 1 year but are completely biodegradable.
In this category, hyaluronic acid is the most used. It is extremely well tolerated and its supple texture is more pleasant under the skin. The quality of this product, its age and durability make it "the" product reference of Dr Alfandari. In practice, Dr Alfandari most commonly injects Teosyal™ from Laboratory Teosylane or Juvederm Ultra™ from Allergan (more rarely, and on request, Restylane™ from Qmed). Collagen (Evolence™), hydroxyapatite (Radiesse™) and polylactic acid (Sculptra™) can, in certain indications, be interesting but they are less safe.
The non biodegradable
There are many, and after the injection, they persist for several years, even indefinitely. Considering the effects caused by silicon and other miracle products... Dr. Alfandari decided not to use these products. Even if there are few side effects, they are not acceptable when they happen to you.
If you want a better long-life product than hyaluronic acid or collagen, then he will offer an injection of autologous fat.
